Encouraging the growth of Fairtrade by increasing the knowledge and use of Fairtrade products in Jersey

The great strength of Fairtrade is ordinary people doing extraordinary things and by our efforts effecting significant change in the way the world works, for the betterment of Third World Producers and ourselves.

The Jersey Fairtrade Island Group (JFIG) was formed by volunteers in 2003 with the aim of raising awareness of and support for Fairtrade in Jersey. Jersey was awarded the status of Fairtrade Island in 2005. We are continuing to build support and we hope our website will help us to do so. More and more people are needed to grow the influence of Fairtrade. If you think you might be able to help we'd be delighted to hear from you. For more information why not contact the chairman Tony Allchurch on 01534 767593.

Why not organise an event or an initiative that will raise awareness of Fairtrade. For help and advice, ideas and resources, contact us in Jersey or go to The Fairtrade Foundation at www.fairtrade.org.uk
